ARKAS ENLARGES FLEET AND AMENDS SERVICES

Arkas Line suspended Trieste calls at the beginning of May 2016 and is now including Brindisi as the last port of call in its Adriatic service (ADS).

The Turkish line's “Inga A” (1,139 teu) is making the first call at Brindisi today (6 May).

The updated rotation is: Koper – Venice – Ancona – Brindisi – Marport – Evyap – Piraeus – Beirut – Lattakia – Mersin – Alexandria – Misurata and Koper.

On top of that, Arkas has enlarged its fleet again. Shortly after its recent purchase of the “Cinzia A”, the shipping company added the German-built sistership “Teoman A” to its fleet on 3 May.

The “Teoman A” and the eleven vessels (including a bunker barge) that preceded it over the last year have nearly substantially raised the line’s capacity from 53,181 teu to 79,696 teu.

The fleet’s newcomer will be deployed on Arkas’s Spain-East Med (SEM) sailing rotating between Valencia – Castellon – Barcelona – Fos Sur Mer – Cagliari – Piraeus – Beirut – Mersin – Iskenderun – Alexandria – Izmir – Piraeus and Valencia.
