CMA CGM is to revamp its European north-south shortsea service to give shippers in the UK and Portugal increased access to the Greek and Turkish markets.
The French line will introduce a southbound call at Tilbury and both north and southbound calls at Lisbon on its French Europe Med Express (Femex) service.
Europe Mediterranean line manager Bernard Revel said: "Thanks to these new calls, CMA CGM will provide its English and Portuguese customers with a direct access to Greek and Turkish markets."
According to the database of ci-online, the service employs five vessels of around 1,700 TEU capacity.
