The European Commission together with the Spanish Presidency organise - in Zaragoza on 8 and 9 June 2010 - the Ministerial and stakeholder conference 'TEN-T Days 2010: Trans-European Transport Networks – drawing up the EU Core-Network' for an integrated, efficient and environmentally friendly European transport system. The main aim of the Conference is to allow Ministers and stakeholders to identify, on the basis of a consultation document from the European Commission, the key elements of the methodology to draw up the future TEN-T planning and implementation framework. Ministers and stakeholders should also explore how EU financial instruments can be mobilised more effectively as part of a consistent funding strategy, that pulls together EU and national, public and private funding.
The "TEN-T Days" is also the annual conference on Trans-European Transport Networks which is the opportunity to take stock of the implementation of the TEN-T Priority projects, on the basis of the annual progress report which records achievements in completing the network and provides a basis to monitor coordinated efforts of Member states, EU institutions and the private sector to advance key investments in the TEN-T.
