CLOSING CONFERENCE

The first phase of the Shortsea XML project ends in September. To mark the conclusion of this phase, to celebrate its successes and to consider the next phase we shall be holding a closing conference on Monday 15 September 2008. The aim of the conference is to bring together the European shortsea community - shippers, carriers, ports, IT and logistics providers - to demonstrate the project's deliverables and to show how they have been successfully implemented in live situations. We will also explain how the project might continue into the future. We expect around 60-80 senior representatives to attend.
To give delegates time to travel to and from the conference venue in Paris the conference will begin at 1030 and finish by 1500. A reception will be held immediately after the conference for those who are able to stay. Whilst the event is FREE to all delegates we are seeking modest sponsorship to help cover the costs.
